about

“Moonray” was completed in March 2021, recorded in my home in Edmonton. The vacant years of 2020 and 2021 … and continuing into 2022 left me feeling like the sun had disappeared. But I still had my moonray. I’ve become accustomed to the loss of warmth and light. Who needs the sun anymore?

lyrics

I was a living in a moonray
and the sun might never come up
There was a moonray
And that was enough

I could get a lot done without the sun
As long as I had my moonray
And if it once existed
[That was enough] That was enough

Moonray . . .

What I believed was burned away
What I remember
lost in yesterday
in my moonray

Lucid my dreams
In a moonray

Who needs the sun anymore?
Who needs the sun . . . anymore?
Who needs the sun . . . anymore?
Who needs the sun? Who needs the sun . . . anymore?
Who needs the sun . . . anymore?
