You have probably figured out that the format of this album is: Song 1, Song 2, Song 3 – then Song 1 vsn 2, Song 2 vsn 2, Song 3 vsn 2. Next comes Song 1 vsn 3, Song 1 vsn 4 and Song 1 vsn 5. Ok. Now we’re clear on that. For the second version of In A Minute x3 , I asked Nik Kozub to do a remix for me. He has done a lot of remixes, as The Paronomasiac, for a lot of artists, and this one came as a real surprise to me – the tune took on a totally new feel and attitude. Yet Nik’s remix has signature Paronomasiac stamped all over it. On one of the days that he was finishing up work on the remix, which I had not heard a note of, I sent him a text message saying “more echoes!!”. He replied with a “HA HA HA . . . more echoes is always good!” One of my favorite parts is that cheeky dissonant chord cluster he hits on the piano from time to time. We’re on the same wavelength, for sure. Nik retained just the right of Wilfred N-ness for my liking, but the song really gets transformed into another realm.
It’s irresistible!
