about

I started to write “Immaculate Time” in 2017 and began recording it in 2018. I had some basic tracks recorded and some rudimentary lyrics. Jamie Philp came into my studio to ‘just play something’ along with my recorded outline of the song. He played a really cool plucky rhythm guitar part which contributed mightily to the magical groove of the tune. The recording wasn’t truly finished until late 2021 when it was finally mixed and mastered by Nik Kozub.
Life is a mystery and the existence of the world itself is at once magical and impossible.

lyrics

It’s an immaculate thing – so real

And the passage of time is nothing at all

That has its appeal

You know you can’t be late – we’ll always wait for you

It’s an immaculate time

It’s an immaculate time . . . an immaculate time

You do what you do and I do what I want

I have nothing to give up

It’s an immaculate thing – so real

And the passage of time is nothing at all

That has its appeal

You know you can’t be late – we’ll always wait for you

An immaculate world

It’s an immaculate world

You do what you do and I do what I want

Can no one put a stop? (before it’s too late)

Oooo – wah wah

It’s an impossible world – It’s an impossible world

It’s an impossible world – It’s an impossible world

An impossible world

An immaculate time

An immaculate time

Oooo – wah wah – Immaculate time
