about

“I Guess We’re in Love” was recorded in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and was released as a limited digital single previewing its inclusion on the upcoming Wilfred N & the Grown Men album “Impossible World”.
The song started as just a pleasant melodic idea around the line “I guess we’re in love”. In any relationship, there are difficulties over time. A strong relationship gets through those difficulties. We ‘follow the sun’ to find positivity and meaning in our lives. Still, there are troubling times (such as, you know … the past few years) … “the damage that has been done can be turned around; the sadness in the world buried in the ground”. I do love the line “kindness in the heart makes a life more pure” with the added messages in the song about each of us doing our part individually to promote world peace and world survival.

lyrics

We didn’t know then what we would become
Discouraged in life and always on the run
Our hearts were beating like a jungle of drums
We followed the sun
to a place they call Love
Yeah, I guess we’re in Love

We can’t get enough, we can’t get enough
I guess we’re in Love
I guess we’re in Love
I guess we’re in Love
I guess we’re in Looooooove
I guess we’re in Love
I guess we’re in Love
I guess we’re in Love

The damage that has been done
Can be turned around
The sadness in the world
Buried in the ground

Kindness in the heart
Makes a life more pure (do you value world peace?
Now we are so in love . . . do you value world survival?)
Looooooove

Spring is comin’ and
Birds are doin’ it
We think we’re in love and
Now we’re provin’ it

We knew we were old
But we thought we were young
Yeah, here comes the sun

Here comes the sun (here comes the sun)
Here comes the sun (here comes the sun)
Here comes the sun (here comes the sun)
(here comes the sun)
Here comes the sun!

We can’t get enough
